Thank you for viewing our website. To give you a little background about me, I am married to my life partner and law partner, William Carswell. We are parents to our sweet only daughter. We enjoy practicing law together and helping our clients. We have both been in practice for nearly 20 years. I am a native of Columbus, GA. I have been practicing in the same firm since shortly after I graduated from law school in 2000. I am licensed in both Georgia and Alabama. So, no matter where you live (in GA or AL), we can usually help you.

I often tell my clients that helping them is what brings me to the office every day. When I have a client that tells me they will "sleep better tonight after our meeting," I know that I have done what God wants of me. I know that I have given my client options and direction about their situation with the compassion and care they deserve. I am a working mom, and I know finances. I know that juggling time is more of an art than anyone ever imagined. I commend any of you parents with more than one child! I know that school clothes are expensive, ...even the uniforms! I know that when gas increases 10 cents at the gas pumps, my client's budgets are hurt. I know how overwhelming financial pressures can be, and how a job loss, or illness, divorce, or a family problem can consume you and throw you into debt you will never be able to repay, especially as late charges and interest rates skyrocket. The phone calls, the Sherriff deputy delivering a lawsuit, bill collectors, the "repo" man or threats of foreclosure can drive you to tears, but bankruptcy can help you to get a handle on your debts either through Chapter 7 or Chapter 13.
